1. How much does a web site cost?

2. What is a domain name?

A domain name is your "address" on the Internet, i.e., "www.web-site-design.com".

3. How can I obtain a domain name?

Domain names are issued by the National Science Foundation (NSF), and they come with different extensions based on whether the domain belongs to a commercial enterprise (.com), an educational establishment (.edu), a government body (.gov), the military (.mil), a network (.net), or a nonprofit organization (.org), etc. Click here to check your domain name availability. 4. How much does a domain name cost?

For .com, .net and .org domains, the rate usually varies from $25 - $35 per year. For international domains, the rate is anywhere from $25 to $250 dollars (US) per year. For .us domains, the cost varies from free to $20, and is determined by the local registrar.

5. What is a web hosting service?

A web hosting service will give your web site a "home" on the web by providing space for your files on their server and making your web pages available to the entire Internet. Majestic Web & Graphic Designs offer web hosting for $15 per month.

6. How will Internet users find my site?

We will promote your site by submitting your URL, a description of your site and a selection of keywords to Internet search engines and directories. We will also use the 'meta tags' option in the browser-invisible HTML code of your web pages to inform the deep search engines of the content of your site.
